The 2013 Silverado 3500HD is packing the heavy-duty capability powered by the available Duramax® diesel and the legendary Allison® transmission to back up its reputation. The Regular Cab Silverado 3500HD with a diesel engine can tow up to 23,100 lbs. with a fifth-wheel hitch, while the Extended and Crew Cabs with diesel engines can tow up to 18,000 lbs. with a conventional hitch.  Safety features include StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Trailer Sway Control, Intelligent Brake Assist, and two standard air bags with the option of upgrading to six total.
